Carrie’s deep knowledge in retirement plans and planning come from more than 30 years of experience with employer-sponsored retirement plans. Throughout her career, she has worked with more than 9,000 plans, from plan consultation, benefit design, provider selection, followed by plan set up, implementation, employee enrollment, education as well as, ongoing plan servicing.

Carrie and her team at Summit Investment Planning focus on assisting small business owners (corporate and non-profit organizations), executives, employees and their retirees with achieving their retirement goals through asset accumulation and to the preservation of their wealth. Working with plan sponsors to create a retirement plan utilizing strategies that align with the needs of their firms, paying particular attention to participant retirement outcomes and financial wellness. Her passion for helping people is evident in her hands-on approach assisting clients with comprehensive financial strategies. Financial wellness is extremely important to an individual’s success, so providing an overall financial checkup is part of our strategy to servicing the needs of each of our clients. Providing for the needs of each individual is our goal, whether it is within the retirement plan itself or with other aspects such as Life Insurance, Individual Retirement Accounts, Educational Accounts or other needs we are able to work with our clients to provide for those life events.

Carrie earned her Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, with a double minor in Economics and Finance from St John’s University. After living in New York and South Florida early in her career, Carrie landed in Virginia in 1993. She currently resides in Midlothian, Virginia with her husband Gene and their 2 cocker spaniels Josie and Lola. She actively gives back to her community by volunteering at women and children’s shelters and supporting animal rescue and adoption organizations such as the Richmond Animal League. In her spare time, Carrie enjoys cooking, entertaining, theater, sports, music, and travel.
